6 Phrases that Weaken Your Energy

We are either strengthening ourselves or weakening ourselves with the words that we use. Words reflect the energy that is spinning inside of us, and most people are unaware of this. Below are 6 phrases that weaken your energy.

6 phrases that weaken your energy:

1. That was unbelievable

2. I'm dying laughing

3. You're killing it

4. He makes me sick

5. Don't hesitate to call

6. I can't wait - my least favorite of them all

The problem with these phrases is we think we are using metaphors, but the subconscious doesn’t know the difference between reality and a thought. So if you say "can't" and then string in "wait". You subconscious says, "You hear that - we are waiting." The subconscious does not pay attention to the word not or can't.

Your reality is always being created by YOUR focus, and the words you use matter. I will break down each phrase and then show you the energy or frequency it stimulates in your subconscious.

1. That was unbelievable.

Something being unbelievable means that you do not believe it. The frequency here is lack, not believing. Your beliefs create emotions, your emotions create thought, and your thoughts create words. Paying attention to this "lack of belief" could give you some great insight into how you may be blocking yourself. What is something that you want that deep down that you just truly don't believe? Try shifting this belief around and see what happens.

Here are some replacements for this statement:

That was Extraordinary, amazing, outstanding, fantastic.

2. I’m dying laughing.

This one speaks for itself. If you are being tickled by humor, I would imagine this to be a joyful state. Take the time to think about expressing this joy instead of dread. Being that death is one of the biggest fears that humans have, why would we we bring this kind of energy into such a joyful space?

Here are examples of replacements for this statement:

That was so funny, hilarious. Literally LOLing over here.

3. You're killing it.

Again with the death talk, lol. I have heard so many entrepreneurs use this kind of lingo, "You are crushing it bro. You murdered that." And while I know this is slang, what in tarnation are we actually communicating here? That we are such primal beings that we are either hunting or gathering and we need to kill to be on top. Let's take a step of evolution here and find a new way to communicate success.

Here are some statements to replacement this:

I am so proud of you. I admire you. You are doing such a good job. I truly look up to you.

4. He makes me sick.

If you really feel this way, YOU need to change. Change your circumstance, change your location, phone number, whatever. This is an indication that you are staying in a situation that you know is not feeding you healthy energy. Rather than judging him "out there" take a look at yourself in here and see what needs to change.

Here are some replacements for this statement:

I am not willing to be around him anymore. We don't have synergy. My feeling of (insert emotion) comes up when I am around him, so I need to change something.

5. Don’t hesitate to call

Basically you are saying, please don't call me with your questions. Do these double negatives here scream at you like they scream at me. Anytime I read this in an email, I go straight to the under tones and feel that person's overwhelm. You can shift this one quickly with the replacements below.

Here are your replacements for this statement:

Feel free to contact me. Ask me anything. I am here to support you!

6. I can't wait.

Wow, you sound so excited! LOL. This double negative here makes me feel like you are really looking forward to this event. My sarcasm is coming out thick on this one, and for good reason. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard this wet blanket laid over my plans, and the energy then gets really heavy, and this can even set the tone for the event. Let's get the energy lighter.

Here are examples of replacements for this statement:

I am so excited. I am looking forward to this. This lights me up.
