I started this journey confused and lost. I was thinking that it may be just a "mid life" crisis as I near 50 years of life. I chalked this up to me just fearful of turning an age that I felt was beyond mid life. I thought that I am running out of time to complete all that life had to offer. The greatest fear I have is one day realizing that I did not truly live a full life and I now have many regrets but its too late to do anything about it! I was lost with regards to "my purpose" and why am I here. I don't have children and have been somewhat successful with regards to business. Financially we do not really want for anything but obviously can always use more. That was not enough to drive home a point of purpose and clarity. I want something else and I could not put my finger on it. Sophie lovingly nudged me into this course and tried to wiggle my way out. I got caught up in fear and lack of control which will normally scare me away from anything. Boy am I glad she did not let me escape! Through the weekly grind of the modules, the in person meetings with our cohort and the silence this created in my head, I was able to find something special inside. An internal guide who's voice I can hear whispering a directive. This has always been in the back of my mind but never as clear as how I visualize this now. I knew that I am here to be a beneficial presence within this world but how can I maximize this gift? Well this course gave me the tools and leads to realize this grand purpose needed to sharpen my focus for the third act of my life. They say that the beauty of this life is not in the destination but rather in the journey. This has been one of those journeys! When I first heard about this certification, I wasn’t sure what I would gain from the experience. At the time, I was in the middle of a divorce and going through one of the most difficult periods of my life. I felt lost, overwhelmed, and unsure of what the next chapter of my life would look like. I decided to move forward with the course simply believing that it couldn’t hurt and that maybe it would help me get through that season.
What I didn’t expect was how quickly I would begin uncovering deep-rooted wounds that I had been carrying for years.
