It was 2007 and I had lost my smile.
I never knew your smile could leave your presence, but mine was gone.
Why?
Because I was sitting in a 9-5 job that was draining my life force by the second.
All that I wanted to do was help others wake up spiritually and show them how to get emotionally healthy and mentally balanced through the art of spiritual life coaching. But here I was, dying inside of an office with bright fluorescent lights stuck in a belief system that I needed to be at a “stable” job to pay my bills.
One Friday evening, when the week was over and I realized I still couldn’t smile even through a weekend, I made a bold decision.
I decided in that very moment to give my two week notice and quit my job.
The plan was to use my small savings to support my calling.
I had left. I hustled and slowly I started to get back into alignment with my soul and my smile came back. Slowly, I began to build my spiritual business and work in my beloved field of spiritual life coaching.
Now it was not all rainbows! The first 5 years were hard. I had to make many sacrifices.
Some of the sacrifices hurt more than others. I ate on a budget. I wasn’t able to attend friends distant weddings. I was on this uncomfortable tight budget and had not yet developed the tough skin it takes to be an entrepreneur.
I experienced a lot of loss. I lost a lot of weight, I lost friends, and I lost stability; but what I eventually gained through it all was so worth it!
Things started to make sense, I learned how to create energetic boundaries, how to distinguish my feelings from others and how to create real, impactful change in my daily life.
I got my soul alignment back which completely activated my soul-love!
I got to do the work I was made for with my soul aligned clients.
I got to feel "on purpose". It's like someone put the sparkle back into my diamond!
Little by little, year after year, I built my dream career.
Please know this was a slow process. It didn’t happen overnight.
Today, 14 years later and over 10k hours of 1-1 spiritual coaching and healing experience I can tell you taking that leap was worth it.
We all know we should follow things that lead to his type of inner satisfaction but what almost no one understands is how to actually feel fulfilled. It's not just knowing what you want and how to get it; its being in alignment with your true calling and turning the work you do on a daily basis.
This is what creates joy, satisfaction and the feeling of fulfillment! When you understand how to connect your true hearts calling with your career, this can happen!
